Our client in Scottsdale is looking for a strong Degreed Accountant
Inventory and sales commission experience would be great.
General
Summary: The staff accountant leads the general ledger close, month end close work, year- end close work, reconciliation, and journal entries. This position is also heavily involved in all aspects of budget review, inventory control and sales commissions.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Works closely with the Corporate Controller to review testing results of accounting policies, procedures, internal and company guidelines. This is a hands-on position that requires an individual with a demonstrated ability to work independently and analyze, investigate and resolve accounting related issues with many internal and external contacts. In addition:
Prepares various balance sheet reconciliations, prepares monthly accruals, various financial reporting and variance analysis.
Assists with year-end audits and quarterly reviews performed by our independent auditors.
Performs analysis of trends, costs and revenues
Researches regulatory requirements.
Prepares calculation of monthly, quarterly sales compensation.
Assists with the updating of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Other duties as assigned by managers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expertise in financial/accounting software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as interact well with all levels of management within a team environment
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality required
Excellent customer service skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Superior attention to detail
Strong organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Inventory and inventory control background is a plus
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor degree in accounting or related field required. CPA a plus.
Position requires a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
