The Art Director formulates design concepts and presentation approaches, and direct works engaged in art work, layout design and copy writing for visual communications media, such as print, web, product packaging and product labels. The Art Director develops and implements the brand strategy of a product or service. He or she plans and executes brand marketing and advertising programs to enhance the brand experience. The Art Director is charged with determining the best ways for us to visually represent our company brand and then establish and maintain that brand. It involves working with internal and external customers, pitching designs and understanding client needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
Lead creative sessions for project kick-offs
Manage multiple projects from concept through completion.
Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization.
Establish creative direction for print, web (as needed) and product packaging and labeling.
Must be able to produce media-quality product packaging.
Supervise and inspire the creative team generate multiple concepts for a campaign or project.
Work with team (designers and copywriters) to develop concepts and present to management.
Work with team to generate ideas for pitching and proposals.
Manage team of designers, but also needs to be able to produce the end result him or herself.
Provide quality control over concepts and projects.
Formulates basic layout design or presentation approach and specifies material details, such as style and size of type, photographs and graphic.
Manages own projects, working within budget and scheduling requirements
Confers with designers, copywriters, production manager and department heads to discuss campaign requirements and presentation concepts and to coordinate creative activities.
Confers with internal customers to determine objectives, budget, background information, and presentation approaches, styles and techniques. Then presents final layouts for approval.
Hires, trains and directs staff members who develop design concepts into art layouts or who prepare layouts for printing.
Reviews projects to determine if brand standards and specifications are met.
Attends photo shoots and printing sessions as needed to ensure needs are met.

Required Skills:

Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts or related field or equivalent visual design and management experience required; graduate degree preferred.
At least 4 years management experience working with large companies with a focus on print - catalogs and other marketing materials.
Web experience (secondary to print)
Must possess a thorough understanding of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography related to all types of printed catalogs, product labels/packaging and other marketing materials.
Must have ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative solutions.
A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development.
Print and web design capabilities: must know how to work in both media for integrated campaigns.
Experience with Adobe software i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CS5, and Flash
Ability to make evaluative judgments
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
