Insight Global is looking for a Sr.
Network Engineer to join our client's team.
The role of the Senior Network Engineer is to lead efforts related to design, implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of Internal and Client network environments.
The role is also responsible for performing investigative assessments of client environments and using the information gathered to make recommendations for client.
They provide 3rd-level support of multi-tenant datacenter environments.
Other daily duties include the below:
-Development of high-level and low-level design documents -Sourcing and estimating for new implementations and upgrades to existing environments -Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and Optimization of client & internal environments -Assist with the development of deployment plans and strategies -Participate in and lead status, implementation, RCA and design meetings with clients -Handle escalations & resolving issues for junior and mid-level engineers -Assist with development of configurations standards and documentation -Provide sales support as needed -Provide technical oversight and review of work performed by junior engineers -Experience with SolarWinds or similar management platforms -Cisco Meraki experience -Cisco CCNP R&S or Security, ITIL v3 or v4 certifications -Experience working with networks supporting VoIP or VDI environments -Experience with Cisco iWAN, Viptela, or Talari SDWAN platforms as well as SD-WAN/SDN -Experience with VXLAN, OTV, or similar DC-networking overlay protocols -Experience with Python/network automation -Experience with VMWare and cloud environments (Azure/AWS) -Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) -5
years of experience in network engineering, design, and support-3
years of experience in data center network management (Cisco/Nexus) -Strong experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA preferred, FortiGate, Palo Alto) -Strong experience with load-balancers (F5 preferred) -Experience working in a managed-service environment, as a network/systems consultant, or working for a consulting organization -Proficient in a wide range of Layer 2/3 networking (OSPF, BGP, VPC, load-balancing) and security technologies (VPN, ACLs, FW Clustering, IPS) -Cisco Firepower (CDO, FMC, CLI) experience Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Vpc) Assessments Automation Border Gateway Protocol Cisco Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
