AutoNation Vehicle Reconditioning Center - Tempe is NOW HIRING Senior Automotive Technicians/Used Car Mechanics!Our Reconditioning Center is responsible for the reconditioning of over 600 used vehicles per month and the number of vehicles is growing daily! We are in urgent need of experienced automotive service technicians to help us quickly recondition these vehicles to a high-quality standard.

If 2,000 hours are flagged in the year, you will receive a check for $500.

We're looking for experienced Reconditioning Technicians or Mechanics to join our team, and we're interested in talking to candidates at various experience levels.
As an Automotive Reconditioning Technician, you'll recondition vehicles for resale with dealer and factory standards in mind.
Your attention to detail makes you a valuable asset to the team as you ensure repairs are completed on time and deliver top-notch work.
This role is not customer facing.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Automotive Technician experience working with a variety of domestic, import, and luxury brands.

Responsibilities:
Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of vehicles.
Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician's tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as special tools.
Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
Minimum Job RequirementsAutomotive technical training (varies based on store needs)General Mechanical skills, manual dexterity and able to operate power and hand tools, and other types of machineryAttention to detailOrganization and follow-up skillsDemonstrated customer service skillsKnowledge of the automotive repair life cycleAbility to operate an automobile, including manual transmission vehiclesValid in-state driver's license, and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving recordThe intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
