Summary:
The Senior Director of Corporate Finance at Baker's Bay Golf and Ocean Club is a strategic analytical leader, providing valuable insights and support for optimal business decision-making across development and operations functions. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this role focuses on coordinating key aspects of the annual budgeting process, generating periodic internal and external finance reports, analyzing operating plan variances, and executing complex special projects. Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the ongoing development of budgeting, financial forecasting, variance analysis, and internal and external reporting with a focus on driving operating excellence. Key thought leadership on key business challenges with focus on value creation, followed by oversight of identified initiatives. Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross functional teams. Oversee and develop complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and evaluate business performance. Serve as a liaison to the key stakeholders in managing modeling, executive presentations, Q&A support, and ad hoc analysis. Consistently engage with Discovery Corporate Leadership on company performance, strategies, and initiatives. Skills &
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA highly preferred. 8
years of high-level responsibility in financial analysis and management roles. Strong leadership, planning, communication, project management, organizational and coaching/development skills. Extensive experience leading and implementing asset management strategies, preferably within the real estate sector. Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting concepts including hands-on experience with accounting software packages including Sage 300, Sage Intacct, Jonas, and TEI. Superior Excel and modeling skills. Advanced skills in report development and data extraction; with the ability to integrate multiple inputs into a clear, concise, and useful recommendations or conclusions. Highest standards of accuracy and precision; coupled with strong attention to detail. Critical and creative thinking abilities, highly driven, and self-motivated. Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
