Summary:
This role assists in the practice of veterinary medicine under the direct supervision of a Doctor or Hospital Manager.

Responsible for client communication (verbal and written) regarding all aspects of the client's pet.
Assist in discussing treatment plans, provide data entry for those plans for documentation.
Medical record management through practice management software program.
Ability to gain compliance on treatment plans and to educate clients.
General duties include dispensation of medication, performing x-rays, performing blood draws, placing catheters, obtaining samples, providing treatments, running diagnostic equipment, nursing care, vaccine administration, and animal restraint.
Utilization (set-up, breakdown, cleaning, maintaining) of medical equipment.
Client engagement and delivering WOW customer service is an important aspect of the role.
Cleaning all areas of the hospital.
Assist with CRS and Kennel functions when called upon.

Experience:
Preferred:
Associates Degree in Veterinary Assisting.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
Standing for long periods of time, walking, sitting, squatting, pushing, pulling, using hands and fingers for technical and administrative work.
May have extended periods of time viewing computer screens and reading.
