We are looking for a high energy, hardworking and passionate Big Data Architect, like YOU, to join us in developing the strategy for the use and meaning of large volume data captured and provided by Orion Health products. This big data platform will drive our new products and capabilities. This is a unique opportunity where you can be part of the team to build out the underlying big data platform itself. Qualifications for the role:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
Typically five or more years experience in data modeling and data architecture, with an emphasis on big data and data warehousing technologies.
Past responsibility for establishing vision and strategy for software product development businesses.
Advanced data model design and development, fundamental algorithms and data structures, relevant platform technology (e.g. Hadoop, Cassandra, Mongo DB)
Knowledge of standard industry tools (e.g. Eclipse)
Advanced database theory and design including:
Relational databases
NoSQL databases
Working knowledge of:
Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, HBASE, Zookeeper)
Mobile technology
Web technology (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
Information exchange standards (e.g. XML, JSON)
Fundamental software process concepts
Automated testing tools and techniques
Configuration management tools
Software and solution architecture conceptsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
