UCaaS Engineer II at Nextiva in Scottsdale, AZ

Nextiva is looking for a UC Engineer (UCaaS) that is versed in VoIP and next generation Unified Communications BroadWorks TAS. This role requires familiarity of the common feature sets, ability to troubleshoot SIP call processing, support escalated tickets, maintenance fundamentals of the system components, solid foundations in customer premise equipment including mobile, soft, and thin clients, ability to learn third party ancillary components, installation of software, and provisioning skills. The candidate must be self-driven, highly motivated, have a sharp eye and attention for detail, a has sound decision making skills. This role is well suited for engineers wanting to grow and expand into VoIP and Unified Communications technologies. In addition, this is roles provides growth path to Senior level positions and access to cloud-based business communications at the core level. While we prefer candidates to have as much experience possible in this technology, we understand that the road there requires opportunity. Responsibilities:
Maintenance and testing core and ancillary systems Integration, deployment, and upgrade support to senior team of all core telephony and Unified Communications technologies Handle medium to small size projects independently Last tier support for Tier 1, 2, and 3 departments Maintenance of mixed multi-lab environment Metrics collection and reporting to management Branding, localization and deployment of soft and thin clients Build, maintain, and promote strong technical documentation Normal business hours and after hours/on call responsibilities
Qualifications:

years' experience in deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of BroadSoft BroadWorks technologies Good knowledge in SIP messaging including for problem isolation Familiar with basic scripting principles Versed in database administration enough to run simple queries Familiar with the fundamentals network engineering (TCP/IP) Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems, identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills Competencies:

Technology and Industry Knowledge - Ability to analyze, collect logs, and troubleshoot on system platforms, as well as customer access paths into core network. Experience working with BroadWorks, with knowledge in SBC's, Voice Messaging, Call Recording, CPE, and Call Center solutions. Understanding of API interfaces and protocols including SIP, SIPRec, TCP/IP, and XML based languages. Ability to interpret and write rudimentary server-side scripting languages including Bash and or Python
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
