Job descriptionThe Corporate HQ for Moon Valley Nurseries is looking to fill a full-time Jr.
Staff Accountant position to assist with various accounting tasks.

Candidates should have previous accounting experience along with at least an associates or bachelors in accounting.
The candidate should also have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job RequirementsThe Jr.
Staff Accountant will be part of our Accounting Department and responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, which must be completed in an accurate and timely fashion.
You should be highly organized and detail-oriented and possess the ability to effectively work both independently or in a team setting.
It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must!Duties and ResponsibilitiesHEAVY use of Excel spreadsheets Daily Banking Bank Reconciliations Petty Cash Checks Month End Reconciliations Data entry into Great Plains accounting software Ad Hoc Projects Skills and Education Bachelors degree in Accounting General knowledge of accounting practices required and experience in accrual accounting a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, expertise in Excel preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills, math skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are a must.
Typing speed of 45 WPM or better.
