Quality Inspector (Aerospace)
Quality InspectorWith general supervision, the Quality Inspector is responsible to ensure that repaired parts meet the minimum quality standards as established by both the FAA and our customers.
Quality Inspector Duties:
Perform dimensional and visual inspection requirements utilizing drawings, OEM manuals, and/or written instructions Record and document findings legibly and precisely Perform minor disassembly and assembly in accordance with inspection requirements Follow all company policies including safety instructions Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices Working knowledge of FAA requirements for repair stations (14 CFR Part 145 and Part 43) Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions Assist with continuous improvement and cost reduction programs Serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor Quality Inspector Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience in the inspection of aircraft components Proper use of micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical comparators, CMM's, and other basic inspection tools Must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret dimensional drawings and OEM manuals Preferred But Not Required:
A&P Mechanic, or prior holder of Repairman Certificate Prior experience in issuing 8130-3's NDT Level 2 Certification PI226240011 Recommended Skills Aircraft Maintenance Business Process Improvement Cost Reduction Housekeeping Optics And Eye Wear Duties Quality Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
