Director of Design for Reliability and Manufacturability
onsemi is currently seeking a Director of the Design for Reliability and Manufacturability group for the Power Solution Group (PSG) Technology Development organization.
This team is responsible for optimization of silicon carbide power switching technologies and products during the design and development stage to meet automotive-grade reliability requirements and high production yields with reduced manufacturing costs.
The selected individual will manage and grow a team of device design, process integration and reliability engineers to review and improve technology and design concepts throughout the entire technology development life cycle.
They will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer of the Power Solution Group for silicon carbide technology.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with all groups within the Technology Development team to qualify new technology nodes in silicon carbide power devices across all package and module platforms Identify key areas of reliability concern based on customer inputs and mission profiles Develop reliability test method (beyond-JEDEC) to quantify the impact of design/process changes on the reliability in customer-relevant conditions Prioritize focus areas based on incidence rates and impact/severity (FMEA) Define process and design techniques to highlight and eliminate extrinsic defects Create design and process methods to mitigate the impact of extrinsic defects Communicate with key stakeholders on the impact of developed techniques on the reliability of devices in customer-critical mission profiles Collect inputs on key failures from internal stakeholders, customer feedback and internal reliability testing Prepare collateral to communicate reliability status/projections to internal team or customers Summarizes and presents reports of technology reliability and manufacturability #J-18808-Ljbffr Recommended Skills Automotive Industry Failure Mode Effects Analysis Process Integration Reliability Customer Service Stakeholder Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
