As a Technical Sales Manager your primary responsibilities include defining the scope of work to be performed, pricing, cost estimating, creating and managing the quoting database for their assigned product line (s).
Supporting the outside sales team and customers with all quotes, and acting as a single point of contact for any concerns for their assigned product line(s).
What you'll do:
Pricing, Cost Estimating, and Quoting - This includes the ability to analyze and develop hours, costs, and price points for new work we have not yet performed in our shops.
Often this requires specialized knowledge and judgment to determine the appropriate man-hours, materials, and certification path for the work.
Defining Scope of Work To Be Quoted - determined by working with the customer and Regional Sales Manager as well as reviewing logbooks and logbook research.
The TSM must be able to effectively communicate to the RSM and customer why our proposed scope of work has more value than what our competitor has proposed.
This is often the difference between winning and losing.
Management of Quote Review Process - StandardAero has largely automated this process, but the TSM still oversee and manages the quote review process through other departments.
Quote Database Management - The TSM manages the database they quote from.
StandardAero has a very robust Configure, Price, and Quote (CPQ) system to help manage and automate quoting.
Analyze Win Rates, Determine Market Pricing, and Develop Discounting Strategy - The TSM must track average market pricing and win rates to ensure discounts are applied appropriate to market conditions.
Other Duties as Required - acts as technical representative for their assigned airframe product line.
What skills you will use:
Must be authorized to work in the U.
S.
5 years proven technical experience in the corporate aviation industry.
Extensive technical knowledge of the products.
The TSM will be assigned to, acquired through hands-on experience or performing the same duties in a previous role.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Must possess highly proficient data entry skills with a high accuracy rate, computer applications including MSWord, Excel, and internet-based applications.
Must hold a valid driver's license.
Travel up to 10%.
Preferred Characteristics:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
