Analyst (IT) Performance Engineer Denver , Colorado View all jobs in this category Lead QA Analyst (Automation) The Lead QA Analyst is a key role within the software development department.
This position is responsible for defining and implementing systems, procedures, and tools to conduct comprehensive functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing for web, APIs, and mobile-based software products.
The individual in this role will mentor a Junior Quality Assurance Analyst and work collaboratively with Executives, IT management, and Development team members to ensure optimal quality results for the assigned projects and applications.
This position also will be crucial to updating quality assurance testing processes by working with management to replace manual tests with a more efficient fully automated QA testing program.

Takes ownership of quality assurance processes and software product quality Acts as the first point of contact to analyze and document any IT/software issue to determine resolution Understands the end-to-end business process and practices of the company Prepares detailed test plans, test schedules and task breakdowns for assigned projects, identifying risks and issues related to the successful completion of planned testing activities Advises management of, and implement, industry best practices for software and development quality assurance Identifies opportunities for integration testing and end-to-end testing with other projects or existing applications Works to ensure validity and comprehensiveness of QA test designs and conducts functional and non-functional tests Identifies opportunities for 'Shift Left' test strategy and automation Provides QA project management of small to mid-sized projects including testing schedule, test coordination, and project & defect status reports Provides feedback to management on project status/quality and represent QA at interdepartmental meetings Creates and reviews requirements and functional specifications for various projects and provide feedback Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience replacing / upgrading manual testing systems to automated testing systems, experience with Azure DevOps and/or CI/CD environments a plus Demonstrated experience mentoring fellow QA analysts Good understanding of Software Quality Assurance methodologies, concepts, process including waterfall, Kanban, and agile development methodologies.
Hands on experience developing complex Test Strategies and supporting Test Cases with commercial QA tools.
Knowledge of Web technologies, cloud computing and mobile technologies.
Can document complex logical data and process modeling and translate user needs into business and functional requirements along with use cases.
Ability to design end-to-end testing strategies based on business processes.
Proficient in one or more industry standard quality assurance tool suites What we are looking for:

years Lead QA Analyst experience Experience with development and implementation of QA Processes and Procedures in environments where those processes/procedures may not yet exist.
