Instructional Design SpecialistLocal to Scottsdale preferred, but open to remote for the right candidates Role And ResponsibilityAs an Instructional Design Specialist at The Joint Chiropractic, you will report to the Director of Training Development, supporting the broader Operations Services and Training departmentWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructional Design Specialist to join our teamThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in content creation for training, with a strong focus on analysis, design, and writing content for diverse learning modalities (ILC, self-paced, digital, and/or JIT)The candidate should possess excellent writing skills, proficiency in InDesign, and a proven track record of creating all content and deliverables for effective instructor-led programs, JIT tools, and print resourcesThis candidate should be a team player with the ability to effectively write content and create storyboards for handoff to other contributing members of the team for continued development and/or delivery.If you are a creative and experienced Instructional Design Specialist with a passion for creating impactful training materials, we invite you to submit your application along with your portfolioJoin us in shaping the future of training at The Joint Chiropractic!As an Instructional Design Specialist at The Joint, you will:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and SMEs to develop innovative learning solutions that align with Operations Training strategies and overall company initiatives.Maintain a patient and flexible project mindset while often working with project ambiguityInitiate, own, document, and manage all steps of ADDIEFacilitate training and support workshops for cross-functional teamsWrite professional and effective scripts and storyboards for digital learningCreate professional print learning content such as workbooks, worksheets, flash cards, Quick Reference Guides, and any other print or PDF deliverables as identified by the learning strategyCreate infographics and other training graphics needed to support professional, customized training for The Joint ChiropracticWork with professional printers to print, bind, and distribute learning materialsCreate a plan for development and managing the project with stakeholders, SMEs, and key contributorsReview and evaluate existing programs in partnership with cross-functional content owners and/or SMEs to make recommendations for enhancements, revisions, and product sunsettingGuide course development to ensure successful program content, designs, and materials that align with The Joint standards for consistency and The Operations Services and Train Team's learning strategyAnalyze key metrics and performance data to improve training content and the learning experience continuouslyCollaborate closely with other Instructional Designers and Elearning Developers on the team to meet deadlinesSchedule and lead project and update meetingsPartner with cross-functional teams to support training requests and initiatives requiring training for rolloutDevelop deep knowledge of The Joint Chiropractic's franchise model, operations basics, and learning cultureWrite course descriptions, rollout plans, and other detailed communication content for LMS, catalogs, newsletters, and cross-functional partnersParticipate in special projects as assignedPerform other training support tasks as neededPreferred Experience / Skill setsAt least 5 years of experience as an Instructional Designer on a team working cross-functionally with SMEs across an enterpriseImpeccable verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork (with an eye for detail and formatting)Experience in a fast-paced technology-inspired culture with the ability to work in a dynamic environment, consistently demonstrating positive business acumenExperience working with professional printersAdvanced experience working with Adobe InDesign and IllustratorStrong proficiency in Google Suite (preferred) or Microsoft OfficeStrong proficiency in planning, organization, time management, multi-tasking, productivity, and efficiencyKnowledge of adult learning theory along with a passion for quality training for success on the jobMaintain a patient and flexible project mindset while often working with project ambiguityAdhere to quality and brand standards established by The Joint Chiropractic and the Operations Services & Training teamExperience in rapid development tools a plus (Rise, Vyond, WellSaid, etc.)Proficiency in working within various learning technology platforms a plusAbility to adapt to new technologies and learning methodologies a plusExperience publishing SCORM 1.2 courses for use in a LMS a plusINDJCCORPPowered by JazzHR Recommended Skills Adaptability Adobe Illustrator Adobe In Design Adult Education Attention To Detail Commercial Awareness Apply to this job.
