MUOS Chief Engineer with Security Clearance
Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics fieldAlso requires 15
years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 13 years of job-related experienceCLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hireCandidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hireApplicants selected will be subject to a U.SGovernment security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informationDue to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.Scitizenship is requiredResponsibilities for this Position Are you ready to lead the way in cutting-edge technology? As the Chief Engineer for the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), you'll bring your extensive technical expertise to drive the advancement of our MUOS R&D initiatives, develop technical strategies and product innovations, lead technical responses to proposals, and mentor the next generation of engineersAs the MUOS Chief Engineer, you'll oversee complex technology development, manage design processes, suggest technology advancements to replace end-of-life hardware and be recognized as an expert in your fieldYou willo Work directly with Business Development on strategy, have regular interface with Government sponsor, industry partners, and technical staff.o Provide technical response to government and commercial proposals.o Collaborate with other GDMS Chief Engineers across GDMS lines of business.o Develop technical strategies, roadmaps, and product development.o Lead studies and research activities to advance MUOS and ground systems.o Provide technical contributions and leadership in designing, analyzing, and implementing new capabilities in ground stations and the MUOS waveform in the relevant areas such as analysis, modeling and simulation, hardware, integration, test, and evaluation.o Produce written documents and presentations of technical work.o Mentor engineer team memberso You'll apply advanced principles of engineering and management to solve complex problems in the development of technology.o As a leader, you'll oversee and manage design and development processes as they relate to the engineering of products utilizing principles and technology.o Leads resolution of hard engineering problems, technical issues & risks as required during program execution.o Position requires up to 20% travel.o 65% Ground Systems - 25% WCDMA - 10% Software Defined Radios & Waveformso It's engineering that sets the standard for the worldAre you ready?
