The Development Officer will primarily be donor-facing and an integral part of our development team.
About the Position:
The Development Officer will exhibit personal integrity, self-reliance, sound decision-making, and the ability to build lasting friendships that will lead to successful fund raising.
They should be enjoy and be comfortable meeting people and cultivating relationships.
An ability to form strong relationships with people from various backgrounds is required to be successful.
Primary
Responsibilities:
The Development Officer's primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Research and identify prospective volunteers to serve on committees in a fundraising capacity.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including current and potential donors, community leaders, and corporate partners.
Provide leadership and direction of the planning and execution of two fundraising events; manage event logistics and volunteer engagement.
Develop and execute individual strategies for engaging, cultivating, soliciting, and retaining donors.
Manage and grow a donor portfolio of over $250,000 Travel in-state for in-person cultivation and solicitation meetings with existing and prospective donors.
Maintain accurate and thorough records of meetings, notes, and gifts.
Work collaboratively and providing regular updates to the development team.
Support the Director of Development and CEO, as needed.
Support event-based fundraising activities.

Proactive Compensation & Benefits Starting Annual Compensation:
$53,700 annually ($48,000 annual salary, plus annual car and phone allowance of $5,700)
