Job Description:
Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Network Systems Engineer to work from their Scottsdale, AZ facility.

Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics fieldAlso requires 5
years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experienceAgile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hireCandidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hireApplicants selected may be subject to a U.

Scitizenship is requiredREPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Performs communication network requirements analysis, IP network system design, and troubleshootingDevelops network solutions to meet customer expectations and technical performance while staying within schedule and cost constraintsPerforms functional analysis, performance analysis, detailed trade studiesSupports system integration and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of the systemDevelops and evaluates systems, networks, and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specificationsMay provide system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features (e.
g.
, identification, authentication, access control, labeling, and auditing) of the system are considered and function properlyParticipates in Modeling and Simulation activitiesResearches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or applicationProvides leadership and/or direction to lower level employeesProvides engineering support to proposalsGuides the development and test teams on successful completion of network design implementation and verificationIs creative and innovativerequiring advanced decision-making skillsRecommends methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead)Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent knowledge of current state-of-the art IP Networking techniques and technologies; able to apply these to solve new customer problemsExcellent use and understanding of systems engineering and development lifecycle concepts and principlesExcellent knowledge of other related communication network disciplinesProficiency with requirements management & network system modeling toolsExcellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent written and verbal communications skills; effective in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actionsWorking understanding of basic project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls Recommended Skills Access Controls Account Management Agile Methodology Auditing Certified Fraud Examination Classified Information Apply to this job.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
