Summary:
The Wellness and Nutrition Support Staff at Cornerstone Healing Center is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of both the fitness and food service programs.
This role includes supporting the food service team in meal preparation, maintaining cleanliness and food safety, managing inventory, and adhering to Policy and Procedure (P&P).
Additionally, the Wellness and Nutrition Support Staff will help with implementing wellness initiatives, including fitness activities, as directed by the Director of Wellness and Nutrition.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.
Assist in the preparation and service of meals according to designated menus, following all food safety guidelines.
2.
Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, ensuring that all equipment, utensils, and food storage areas meet the required health and safety standards.
3.
Support inventory management by organizing supplies, tracking stock levels, and using the first-in, first-out method for food and other resources.
4.
Aid in the centralized ordering of supplies, ensuring that all items are accounted for and properly distributed to various facilities.
5.
Follow and enforce the established P&P for both food service and wellness activities, ensuring compliance with company policies.
6.
Provide support for wellness and fitness programs as directed, helping to facilitate group activities or individual exercises when necessary.
7.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a collaborative working environment.
8.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions, staying informed about updates to P&P and company policies.
9.
Assist in auditing the facilities to ensure adherence to cleanliness, safety, and service standards as directed by the Director of Wellness and Nutrition.
10.
Report any issues, discrepancies, or areas for improvement related to food service, fitness, or resource management to the Director of Wellness and Nutrition.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE ? Must be 18 years of age or older.
? High school diploma or GED preferred.
? Valid food handler's card or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
? Previous experience in a food service, hospitality, or wellness setting is preferred but not required.
? Ability to pass a criminal background check.
? Successful completion of a health screening and Freedom from TB Evidence on hire.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED:

Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
3.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
4.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with staff, residents, and fitness participants.
5.
Willingness to learn about wellness and fitness best practices to support group activities.
6.
Ability to maintain accurate records related to inventory, food service, and wellness activities.
7.
Physical ability to handle the demands of both food service and fitness support roles.
