Systems EngineerOur client, a leading federal defense contractor has multiple long-term contract openings for Senior Systems Engineers to support their SDA GMI program.
You will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.
Responsibilities:
- Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application- Performs requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, and system design and definition- Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle- Facilitates discussions with senior levels of Customer StakeholdersRequired Skills- Must be US Citizen due to government requirement- Must be able to obtain Secret (active Secret is desirable)- Requires a Bachelor-s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field and 8 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
- Agile experience preferred.
Technical Background:
- Demonstrated Satellite communications knowledge- Satellite constellation contact planning experience- Ground operations experience- Performs design of networks, with working knowledge of networking protocols- Performs detailed technical analyses for a software subsystem or system elements- Experience in Software functional analysis and interface definitions, including Application Programing Interface experience Recommended Skills Agile Methodology Certified Fraud Examination Functional Analysis Mathematics Performance Management Requirements Analysis Apply to this job.
