The Company is a venture-backed start-up targeting the college market through an altruistically focused direct sales channel (think Tom's Shoes meets MLM). Stakeholders are successful entrepreneurs with a wide array of business skills that includes direct sales, franchising and retail. Company's proprietary mobile technology will facilitate explosive growth at launch.
COMPANY VISION:
Our client is a new direct sales enterprise. The founders are purpose-driven, and passionate about making a difference in the financial well-being of their customers and distributors. They have a vision to help provide tangible business skills to distributors by helping them leverage their peer network. Their business model generously rewards distributors' efforts and loyalty.
A primary goal of the company is to help mitigate the educational-related debt of its college-aged distributors.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Director of Sales is the top marketing position and a critical member of the Corporate Management Team. Reporting directly to the Founder/CEO this individual will be responsible for the recruitment and development of the field sales and distributor network in the North American Market. Upon demonstrating exceptional success, outstanding leadership and team building qualities, promotion to
executive
Vice President is an achievable goal.
COMPENSATION: Comp package will be commensurate with experience and will consist of base salary, comprehensive incentive based compensation tied to agreed-upon scalable performance metrics, and "allowances" for office and travel expenses per the company's policies.
EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT: Yes. The client will require the
employee
to sign an exclusive employment agreement for a period of time to be determined as the interview process is conducted.
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
o Extensive and proven track record of recruiting key leadership distributors
o (Presidential Founder Candidates).
o Proven leadership and growth of an MLM distributor network.
o A passionate desire and ability to motivate and create positive change.
o Creation of a sales structure to meet and exceed corporate sales objectives.
o 5 - 10 years' experience in Direct Sales/Network Marketing with documented progressive growth.
o Demonstrable skills and proven history of using social networking technology for business.
o Familiarity with web site and e-commerce strategies
o Comfortable working with college aged individuals.
o 5+ years in management and leadership roles. Candidates must be able to demonstrate key performance skills and attributes required for the responsibilities associated with those positions.
o Comprehensive understanding of complex compensation plans used in MLM/Direct Sales.
o Creation of budgets, sales / profit forecasts, sales plans, targets and presentation of them to management verbally and in writing in both formal and informal settings.
o Ability to develop a strategic growth plan, build and execute an action plan for the accelerated growth of the field sales and distributor organization.
o Organization, presentation and public speaking skills for presentations to small and large groups in public forums.
o Management of and accountability for a large departmental budget.
o Working knowledge of product marketing techniques and methodologies.
Recruiter Comments:
? This position will require a CONSIDERABLE amount of travel. It is very likely that the person who is hired for this role will be on the road for a minimum of 75% of the time on a monthly basis. Much of this travel commitment will be the direct result of field growth and expansion. Additionally, this role will require regular scheduled AND unscheduled trips into the company's HQ located in Phoenix, AZ. As the company grows this travel commitment may change as it relates to specific purpose but the overall time requirement will most likely not change until such time that a field leadership team has been established.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
