System Specialist

Colony American Homes is seeking a System Specialist. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting our on-site corporate and field associates perform their day to day functions within our accounting & property management applications, while proactively implementing improved workflows and providing quality assurance across all applications. This role will also be instrumental in bridging the gap between the Accounting, Acquisitions, Construction, IT and Property Management departments and ensuring that product owners have their needs met.
Essential Functions and
Responsibilities: Include the following but not limited to, other duties may be assigned.
Provide technical assistance and support for corporate and field associates
Provide excellent documentation and training material in regards to all business applications
Creating and modifying user settings and profiles
Provide support to business owners and users
Research and implement new modules and procedures in property management software
Minimum Requirements and
Qualifications: To ensure performance of this job is successful, the individual fulfilling the System Specialist role must be able to perform each essential function and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are required. Accommodations may be made to enable the individual with disabilities to ensure the individual can perform the essential functions and responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required in related field
Minimum 3 years of accounting related experience
Minimum 3 years of experience working with Yardi or other property management software
Basic knowledge of on-site property management operations
General computer knowledge and troubleshooting techniques
Proficient in the MS Office Suite
Working Conditions:
Typical Office Environment- no unusual exposures
Travel not required
Computer, keyboard, telephone, fax machine, scanner and copier, etc.
Occasional overtime work required throughout the year
