Administration and supervision of the accounting department. Includes but is not limited to; prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; making hiring, termination and disciplinary decisions; and, designing appropriate departmental structure to ensure workflow efficiencies.
Provides executive management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress across property portfolio.
Recommends and implements corporate strategies, objectives, and policies related to assigned areas of responsibility.
Prepares complex reports that summarize company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and projected operations.

Performs complex accounting activities related to asset management.

Participates in the preparation of budgets and budget review process. Includes preparation of necessary supporting documentation and justification.
Advises management on desirable adjustments to operational and reporting requirements.
Manages internal audits, ensuring appropriate controls and activities occur; coordinates audits performed by external auditors of company's accounts; serves as a liaison with external auditors.
Establishes and implements internal policies, processes, and procedures to ensure the protection of company assets.
Ensures adequate and appropriate insurance coverages; manages relationships with insurance companies.
Coordinate tax filings for companies.
Ensures that all project activities and operations reporting are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
Participates in acquisition and growth activities including investigations, evaluations and investment analysis.
Ensures development and establishment of programs to attract and retain competent staffing within the Finance department.
Manages cash handling and banking relationships; ensures compliance with banking and/or lending institution reporting requirements; establishes and maintains relations with banks and other financial institutions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or a closely related field, and a minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible accounting experience preferably within the real estate industry, including a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.


LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
CPA or CMA designation preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
