Our client is looking for their next SEC Manager of financial reporting. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is already a manager or is a strong senior financial reporting analyst. Key Responsibilities
Provide support and quality assurance for all internal and external consolidated financial reporting, including
Monthly management reporting, balance sheet, cash flows, and income statement analysis.
All periodic SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, etc.) and press releases.
i. Process management and coordination of periodic filings with Executive Management team, SEC counsel, Auditors and printer.
Review the work of the department staff
Coordinate and review functional accounting areas such as
Lease accounting, earnings per share, derivatives, stock-based compensation.
Provide assistance with accounting questions and issues
Ability to research and resolve accounting issues and draft white papers concluding on appropriate treatment
Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts of the corporate accounting group.
Education/
Experience:
8
years of related professional experience
CPA required
Mix of big 4 Public Accounting and Private Company experience preferred
At least three years of recent SEC reporting experience
Real estate and leasing experience a plus
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organization skills and process oriented to meet tight deadlines
Ability to perform detailed work
Understanding and analysis of business operations in order to assess accounting considerations
Manage multiple priorities and maintain composure in challenging circumstances
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
Team player with a positive attitude and flexible mindset who is not afraid of change and has a willingness to assist regardless of job responsibilities.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to work long hours at quarter-end and year-end, and at others times as needed, to meet regular reporting deadlinesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
