Lead Quality Assurance
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Fulltime position.
Position Description: (General Summary)
The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst's primary responsibilities are to establish quality assurance standards and measures, drive process and testing efficiency, and continuously improve the QA practice for the IT organization. This individual will also be responsible for developing and executing test strategies in support of the delivery of strategic business initiatives across the organization.
Principal Duties &
Responsibilities:
Establish and monitor quality assurance measures and testing standards to ensure the consistent delivery of quality products to Production
Review and approve test plans and documented test results prior to a release to Production
Drive efficiency through the identification and automation of processes and tests throughout the development lifecycle
Mentor and act as a point of escalation for members of project and testing teams
Perform front-end functional, service integration layer and database testing to ensure the end product meets functional and design specifications. Testing could include manual, automated, SoapUI, validating SQL stored procedures and triggers, and using database queries and scripts.
Perform system, performance and load testing to ensure the end product meets nonfunctional requirements. Testing would primarily be focused on the service integration layer.
Perform end-to-end, integration and regression tests as required by the project and design
Function as a member of an agile development team participating in planning, story writing, identification of acceptance criteria, estimating and delivering as committed.
Contribute and adhere to a project schedule balancing on-time delivery with quality.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Bachelors degree or greater in Computer Science or a related field is preferred

years of QA experience with specific experience testing service integration layer
5
years in a senior or lead position that required approval and/or sign-off responsibility
Strong knowledge and extensive experience in various types of testing (Unit, Functional, Backend, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Test Automation tools (design and deploy) required; previous experience establishing an automation framework preferred
Knowledge and previous experience with SoapUI required
Must be comfortable in an Agile (project mgmt & software dev) work environment
Experience creating and executing SQL queries and ability to understand .Net WCF a plus
Previous experience with POS systems a plus
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Detail-oriented, adaptable, prioritizes and organizes work well
Plans time appropriately, works well independently and exercises good judgment.
