OneNeck IT Solutions employs approximately 650 people throughout the U.S. The company offers a full suite of IT solutions including cloud and hosting solutions; ReliaCloud(TM) enterprise cloud services; managed services; ERP application management; professional services; and IT hardware. OneNeck owns and operates four Tier 3 data centers in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin and manages two Tier 2 data centers in Arizona.
The Windows Administrator III is a position in the company's Internal IT administration group. The Windows Administrator III must be able to administrate a large Windows server environment on their own, as well as providing a leadership role within the team.
A Windows Admin may also serve a key role in managing crisis situations for end users / customers. Other responsibilities of this position are working on issues as they are received through our ticketing system and monitoring customer systems. Candidates must exhibit the desire to increase their technical competencies and achieve MS Certifications.
Install, maintain and support Windows-based systems and related software, including 3rd party tools & applications.
Serves as a lead for Windows applications support, transitions and implementations.
Perform problem determination and resolution for supported environments.
Perform operating system upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and performance analysis as it relates to day-to-day operations.
Analyze and modify system parameters as necessary to configure the O/S and subsystem components.
Develop and implement test plans to verify installation, upgrades or repairs, including disaster recovery and back-out plans.
Provide mentoring to junior Windows Administrators.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
/ Required Qualifications /
Bachelor's degree (or higher) OR 4
years of professional work experience.

years of experience in Windows technologies in a diverse operating environment.
Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations
/ Other Qualifications /
Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) preferred.
Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) preferred.
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) Exchange, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) Active Directory and/or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) SharePoint a plus.
Strong inter-personal and communication skills. Capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or orally, good phone skills.
Advanced understanding of the Microsoft security model.
In depth understanding of Microsoft best practices.
Expert in Microsoft server operating systems.
Must be a subject matter expert in at least two OneNeck supported technologies.
Intermediate understanding of messaging technologies (Exchange, SMTP, etc).
Ability to architect client virtualization platforms (Citrix, Terminal Services, etc).
Intermediate server virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V, etc).
Understanding of Networking/Security technologies (Ethernet, routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, etc.).
Tape and disk back up services experience preferred (Veritas, OmniBack, etc.).
Monitoring tools experience preferred (Nagios, HP OpenView Operations, Dell OpenManage, etc.).
SAN and NAS technology knowledge preferred.
Knowledge of ITIL and MOF policies and procedures.
Must exhibit leadership qualities.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Available to provide 24x7 system support.
Able to travel up to 20% of time.
