KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
v Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, in accordance with GAAP.
v Responsible for weekly income statement reporting for each legal entity.
v Prepare full balance sheet reconciliation package on monthly basis.
v Reconciles bank statements, as needed.
v Prepare Ad hoc reports for both internal operators, as well as 3rd party owners.
v Ensures that daily, weekly budgets are accurate and reasonable. Reviews and corrects discrepancies with managers.
v Devises, implements, and modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
v Responsible for data entry and verification of daily revenue information.
v Accounts Payable data entry.
v Preparation of Sales Tax Returns.
v Oversight of off-site operation adhering to established controls policies and procedures.
v Liaison between 3rd party owner(s), off-site managers, and internal corporate staff members.
v Responsible for preparation and oversight for independent audits by outside firms or governmental agencies.
v Coach and mentor other members of accounting team.

Knowledge / Skills
v Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
v Computer Skills-Excel/Word/JD Edwards/Windows.
v Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
v Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
v Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, fractions, ratios and proportions.
v Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
v Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
v Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
v Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of the organization.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
