What:
IT Administrators rely on the timely production of OS, software application, and other system patches to protect against malicious exploits and reduce the likelihood of a network security breach. As a Patch Content Analyst at Lumension you will learn to research, analyze, and prepare these patches using internal production tools and work with fellow team members to ensure that production deadlines are met with a high degree of quality. The ideal candidate for this position will be knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows system administration and networking, be technically inclined, a fast learner, and a strong team player.
How:
Create, support, and maintain patch content using internal production tools
Perform bug verification, release testing, and technical support for assigned products and patch content
Conduct unit testing and integration testing for developed products and patch content
Troubleshoot problems, provide product support, and deliver solutions
Collaborate effectively with content engineering, product engineering, and technical support team members
Provide technical advice and guidance about design, limitations, and technology
You:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience is preferred
Experience in software support, network administration, or systems administration
Understanding of the entire development process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Proven research and analysis, project planning and implementation skills
Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills
Strong understanding of Windows systems
Experience troubleshooting various vendor patches for Windows operating systems
Nice to Haves:
Experience working on complex projects under time-critical deadlines
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Experience working with SQL and XML
