Jobs Purpose & Responsibilities
Troubleshoot highly technical solutions related to Orion Health software products and software development industry standards.
Proactively monitor systems for errors, faults and potential problems alerting, executing or escalating when and if appropriate or resolving as needed adhering to previously established guidelines and direction.
Escalate urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources.
Implement solutions effectively when standard functionality has failed.
Provide 24 x 7 x 365 support, which includes week nights, weekends and public holidays.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all faults, technical questions and enhancement requests coming in to the issue tracking system from our clients

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of Networking ()
Working knowledge of Performance Monitoring (java performance analysis, thread dump analysis, heap dump analysis)
Understanding of Posix
Understanding of HTML, Internet Protocols, LINUX/UNIX, Windows (all versions), SQL, HL7, XML, RDBMS and JDBC.
Strong understanding of software production support processes and environments
Understanding of Databases (Oracle/SQL server)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer focus and genuine desire to assist
Strong work ethic and desire to get things done
Independent decision maker capable of operating within specified boundaries
Ability to think logically and analytically in a problem solving environment

Education
Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Equivalent work experience considered in lieu of degree.

3-5 years of working experience in on-site and remote second level Application SupportEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
