MTS 1, Systems Administrator

PayPal, Inc. seeks, MTS 1, Systems Administrator in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Job Duties:
Innovate and build back tier infrastructure, enabling PayPal database systems to compute, block, network, and provide object storage. Support the core infrastructure of PayPal transaction databases including Oracle RAC environment running on Solaris, REL, AIX and Hitachi storage on the backend. Understand incident, problem, release and change management concepts. Work on Oracle, IBM and HP hardware platforms. Utilize SAN administration skills; host level mirroring; systems log management and analysis skills. Collaborate with the Oracle DBAs regarding Oracle RAC, InfiniBand, and ASM. Utilize expertise with storage area networking, including Network attached storage. Utilize Linux, UNIX configuration management tools, Linux Red Hat, Oracle distributions, Solaris, and AIX operating systems in large enterprise setting; device management tools storage area network concepts and Fiber Channel Fundamentals; ASM and other enterprise volume manager tools. Work in a team environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as a systems or storage administrator or Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a systems or storage administrator.
Special Skill Requirements:
Experience must include the following:
Linux Red Hat or Oracle distributions, Solaris and AIX operating systems; experience managing UNIX configuration management tools; system performance monitoring; SAN administration skills; Linux/UNIX Systems administration skills; scripting language (Shell, Perl or Python); Array based migrations experience; Host based data migration including host level mirroring; troubleshooting technical problems; knowledge of device management, Veritas VXVM, VXFS, VCS; and ASM; managing Hitachi Enterprise platforms including USPV, VSP and G1000; IBM all-flash arrays. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
