Engineering Director Role:
The Technology team develops and manages global core platforms in support of the next generation of travelers, travel counselors and travel managers.

The successful leader will be expected to lead critical Portal and client Profile teams, to deliver on application and product roadmaps.
Portal is a global application with approx.
1MM registered users and visited by thousands of travelers daily to access their booking tools.
The profile team is responsible for managing client policies, preferences and other data to be used during a travel booking process.
The Director will be expected to form a strong partnership within the team, and with the Product Owner, plus own performance management responsibilities for the assigned engineering team members.
Key Responsibilities Drive innovation and manage product development teams within a fast paced, agile environment Cultivate an environment of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics Identify and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce Manage and/or lead software development teams, obtaining necessary resources, acting as an escalation point and removing impediments to achieve goals and objectives Engage in hands-on design and ensure alignment of strategy, architecture, tools/methods with software engineers and architects to execute product roadmaps Collaborate with a wide variety to stakeholders within business and technology teams to drive change required to execute product roadmaps Coach, guide and promote creation of high quality, clearly documented, and compliant deliverables across engineering teams Enable integrated teams to deliver technology solutions in support of key product initiatives by working closely with product managers, technical project managers, architects, engineers, and quality assurance Collaborate within and across business units to prioritize, plan, and execute the development schedule for major product releases Coach, guide and promote creation of high quality, clearly documented, and compliant deliverables across engineering teams Key Qualifications 10
Years of extensive hands-on experience building and managing the development of complex, large scale enterprise applications and products with resilience and reliability Proven experience attracting, hiring retaining and leading top engineering talent and high-performance product engineering teams Hands on experience with Java based technologies, Microservices, Containerization, CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) Experience managing off shore partner teams Strong written, verbal communications, presentation skills, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills Practical experience in effective time management, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively Proven collaboration skills along with the ability to influence without authority Travel domain knowledge is a plus Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field required; advanced degree ID:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
