Vehicle Description This is an original 1927 Cretors Popcorn truck, not a re-creation.
The coach was built by Cretors and Company of Chicago, IL, and is the only Cretors truck to leave the factory with installed cast corbels supporting the cowl awning.
Designed to vend fresh hot popcorn, roasted peanuts, lemonade, espresso and shaved ice, this popcorn truck was carefully disassembled and restored featuring 6-etched blue flash glass signs, nickel-plated trim, pull-out serving window, and a hand-made gingerbread roof with turret vent and pierced ribbon trim.
The original popcorn and peanut equipment is intact but needs refurbishing.
Mmuch of the kitchen equipment has been upgraded and modernized, including the new Swan ice shaver.
It has a 3-bay stainless-steel mini sink with a 30-gallon freshwater capacity.
Electrical is wired-in conduit with 110V 60-amp breakers and four 4plex outlets.
The freezer comes equipped with a 30-pound horizontal propane tank.
In good running condition, this truck is powered by a 4-cylinder engine paired with a manual transmission and will start via hand-crank or battery.
