Vehicle Description This custom PPG Deep Dark Green 1946 Chevy hot-rod pickup rides on a fully boxed and cross-framed chassis with adjustable coilovers, 4-bar rear suspension, independent front suspension, power rack & pinon steering, 4-wheel disc brakes and Wilwood master cylinder with custom brake and fuel lines, rolling on a set of 17-inch Billet Specialties Fairlane wheels and Nitto tires.
Powered by a fully built 327ci engine swapped from a 1968 Corvette with a 4-barrel carburetor mated to a rebuilt TH350 automatic transmission with a B&M shifter and a custom-built Strange 9-inch posi-traction rear end.
The engine flows through a dual 2.
5-inch aluminized pipe exhaust (routed through the chassis) and a set of MagnaFlow 40s.
It also features an aluminum radiator with custom shroud, Alan Grove brackets, 100-amp alternator, power steering pump, Sanden AC compressor and an electronic ignition.
Custom exterior details include a fully welded metal bed with custom pockets and rear fuel door that feeds the relocated tank.
The cab has been welded for rigidity and stretched for more legroom, the front fenders are now one piece instead of three, there is one-piece hood with custom hinge and latch with an interior release, the windshield is glued in with spline, the windshield wipers have been moved to the bottom of the windshield and are driven by a Newport engineering system, the rear fenders and running boards have been widened to accommodate the wide rear tires, custom front running lights and turn signals, and there is also a custom rear valance with license plate and lights.
The interior features a custom dash, custom seat, power windows, air conditioning (located under the seat with a metal plenum to bring the treated air to the dash), welded and finished upper valance, tilt wheel, and fully insulated and finished upholstery to include doors, roof, floor, firewall, behind and even under the seat.
