Vehicle Description This custom 1963 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz EV convertible has been repainted in American Electric Blue that has been resurfaced and adopted by a well-known electric powerhouse:
Tesla.
Not only were all components of the Model 3 technology retained, but everything from the rear motor and the 75 kw/r battery to its electronic controls and its rapid-charging capacity with a Tesla-style charge port were kept for convenience.
This car was developed in partnership with Ingenex Engineers from Trois Rivieres (Quebec).
The battery pack was completely redesigned to fit its original front engine compartment.
One of the main goals was to respect its overall classic design.
To maintain the originality of the chassis, a few adjustments were made, one of which was to improve the welding.
Some reinforcing bars were bolted and finished to its surface before painting.
The result is a well-balanced and strong structure that will guarantee a very smooth ride, like only a Cadillac can offer.
The 20-inch wheel size, the 4-wheel disc brakes, and the front and rear independent suspension has been chosen and calibrated for maximum stability and comfort.
Even modernized power steering contributes to enhancing the driving experience.
For the all-white and gray interior, Carl Andre Giroux, a well-known car designer, was enlisted, with the intent to respect the original design but also ensure an enhanced electric experience.
To achieve this goal, he designed an original center console that is influenced by modern cars.
This console integrates a retractable screen necessary to transmit all the electric driving conditions, such as autonomy, energy consumption fast or regular charging and more, just like the auto industry does.
The instrumentation cluster from Dakota Digital and the audio system is designed and installed by Blam Audio and includes Helix speakers, 12-inch subwoofer, RetroSound head unit, Helix processor and amplification.
