Vehicle Description This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible underwent a frame-off restoration in Phoenix, AZ, that was completed in 2019.
The exterior features Gypsy Red and Shoreline Beige over a matching red and beige interior.
Power comes from a refurbished 265ci Power Pack V8 engine with a Rochester 4-barrel carburetor rated at 180hp when new paired with a Powerglide automatic transmission and new dual exhaust.
The engine is said to have been rebuilt during the restoration, and additional details a period-style generator, oil filter canister and air cleaner assembly, and a new brake master cylinder that was installed in 2020.
The car features an independent front suspension and a solid rear axle reportedly rebuilt during the restoration, along with the installation of new front coil springs and rear leaf springs.
The power-assisted 4-wheel drum brakes are actuated by a single-pot power master cylinder installed in 2020.
Also, a new top pump motor was installed during the restoration.
The beige soft-top features a vinyl rear window and a matching boot and can be seen both lowered and raised.
The interior is trimmed in red upholstery with matching carpets and beige accents on the door panels and bench seats.
The red-painted steel dashboard features an aluminum insert incorporating a Bowtie motif and houses an Audiovox cassette player and a factory clock.
Additional interior amenities include front and rear lap belts as well as Chevrolet-branded floor mats, a three-spoke steering wheel with chrome horn ring frames, a 110-mph sweep speedometer with integrated gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level.
There are just over 300 miles shown on the five-digit odometer, reportedly since completion of the work.
