Vehicle Description This is a rotisserie restoration paying tribute to the legendary 1970 HEMI Challenger.
It started life as an early production car from Chrysler's Los Angeles, CA, assembly plant, painted red with a 318ci engine.
It has been restored in HEMI Orange and is powered by a Mopar 472ci factory crate engine mated to a TREMEC TKO 5-speed transmission.
The differential was replaced with a Moser M60 Sure-Grip with a 3.
54 ratio.
Also added were a new fuel tank, fuel pump and Holley 850cfm HP Terminator carburetor, a complete MSD ignition system with distributor, wires and coil.
New power brakes were installed, with front disks/rear drums, including master cylinder and booster.
Additional items were addressed, such as rebuilding the Rallye instrument cluster, installing correct badging and vinyl decals, adding new adjustable upper control arms, rebuilt power steering box, new seat belts, including front seat shoulder belts, new heater core and hoses, factory-correct Rallye wheels and Goodyear Polyglas GT tires (show tires).
The vehicle also comes with four BFGoodrich radial tires, including street-legal slicks for the rear, all mounted on correct Rallye wheels (go tires).
