Vehicle Description This restored 1957 Chevrolet 150 Fuelie 2-door sedan has been refinished per the Fisher Trim Tag production details:
style 57-1211 - 1957 150 two-door sedan, the body No.
J 6219 - Assembled at the Janesville, WI, plant; body sequence number, trim 650 - black and gray cloth/vinyl upholstery, paint 819 - Matador Red exterior with India Ivory accents.
The engine-block stamping contains the suffix EK, which is appropriate for a 1957 Chevrolet 283ci V8 engine with Rochester Ramjet fuel injection, solid lifters, a high-lift Duntov camshaft and dual exhausts, and in this configuration, it was rated at 283hp and 290 ft/lbs of torque.
A rebuild of the engine was completed in January 2021.
Additional features include an air inlet mounted atop the radiator support accommodated by a corresponding cutout in the hood-support cross brace, and a Trico Electro-Vac pump providing extra vacuum for the vacuum-operated windshield wipers.
After the restoration, the score sheets from Classic Chevy International judging showed the car scored 996 out of 1,000 points.
Only 400 miles have been added since the build.
