For Sale at Auction: 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS in Scottsdale, Arizona for sale in Scottsdale, AZ

1 of 8
Vehicle Description This Impala SS was sold new in San Pedro, CA, in February 1964.
The car stayed in California until the '90s, when it came to Colorado.
The car was over-the-top cared for by its owner until his death in 2003.
At the time the car had just over 60,000 miles and now has 61,850 (the title reads mileage exempt).
A local car collector then purchased it from the family.
The car was treated to a complete mechanical refurbishment around 2012, mostly due to a weak cylinder.
The period-correct engine was completely rebuilt by a California 409ci specialist, as well as the transmission and rear axle.
At this point, it was decided to drop out the chassis and do a complete refurbishment to all the painted surfaces by powder-coating the complete frame, axle and all suspension components.
All bushings were also replaced, and the power steering was updated to the newest-style steering box and pump.
Additionally, the complete brake assembly was changed to the new-style dual master cylinder and booster assembly.
The car benefits from the addition of a set of CPP oversized sway bars front and rear to improve handling, as well as a new fuel tank and sender.
The car still wears 100 percent of its original body shell paint, glass to include the windshield, complete outside trim, and the complete interior is as-delivered new, apart from the addition of OEM-style floor mats.
This car did come with the additional factory-optioned SS trim, SS bucket seats with extra-thick foam, center console, courtesy light package, front and rear seat belts, padded dash, Soft Ray tinted glass, 2-speed wipers, dash-mounted tachometer, heavy-duty radiator, 6-inch wagon wheels with its original four SS hubcaps, whitewall tires, power steering, power brakes and dual exhaust.
Includes some original owner paperwork, such as a copy of the pink title, sales contract, color chart and factory brochure showing owner handwritten options.
