1 of 5
Vehicle Description Chevrolet's C/K pickups from the 1967-72 series continue to be popular and collectible, exemplified by this short-box 1970 Chevrolet C10 pickup with the upscale Cheyenne trim and interior package.
Built at the St.
Louis, MO, GM assembly plant, it features an Omaha Orange and Pure White two-tone paint finish, complemented by black and white houndstooth upholstery.
It is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet small-block V8 engine, featuring an open-element air cleaner, 4-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake manifold and tubular headers feeding a dual exhaust system.
Power brakes, power steering, a tilt steering column and a modern, yet factory-appearing AM/FM radio with Aux capability provides the driving experience.
Other highlights include black carpeting and door panels, factory gauges, a sliding rear window and a 1990s-vintage Chevrolet 4-spoke steering wheel.
Complete brightwork and Cheyenne trim items are present inside and out.
Spray-in bed liner protects the cargo bed and enhances usability of this pickup.
A clean-sheet design introduced for the 1967, Chevrolet's redesigned C/K pickup trucks and their GMC stablemates took the North American light-truck market by storm.
Ride and handling were a quantum leap forward with a remarkably car-like ride courtesy of modern independent front suspension and coil springs at all four corners.
Underhood, the trucks featured Chevrolet's typically wide range of 6-cylinder and V8 engines with manual and automatic transmissions.
Ride and overall height were lower than ever before with a carefully engineered drop-frame chassis, while maintaining useful ground clearance.
During production, interior appointments were progressively improved, and the list of standard and optional amenities grew, allowing buyers to personalize their pickups as desired.
Styling was refined throughout production and upmarket models included the Cheyenne with embossed seat covers and additional wood-grain trim and bright accents.
Production continued through 1972.
In addition to excellent restoration parts support, these stylish haulers are incredibly easy to service, making them a hands-down favorite of restorers, customizers and even racers.
