Vehicle Description This 1967 Chevelle SS 396 custom was a complete frame off was completed over a 5-year period.
The complete frame was powder coated.
The suspension was completely rebuilt.
A new Moser Engineering 12 bolt posi-trac assembly with 3:
55 gears was used.
Wilwood brakes were used on all four corners to include polished tandem master cylinder, 7 in power booster, Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve, 6 piston calipers and 12.
88mm vented rotors handle the front, 4 piston Dynalite pro with parking brake kit, 12.
19 rotors handle rear braking.
The motor started life as a 454 and an Ohio Crankshaft rotating assembly was used including 4340 forged crank H-beam rods with ARP bolts, Keith Black Hyper alloy pistons.
Iron GM heads where CC'ed and completely rebuilt with new valves, springs, guides, roller rockers, Schneider handled this cam and lifters.
It was a special grind requested by the engine builder.
Laniers Speed Shop handled the complete build.
The motor was put to test on a super flow dyno.
The results were a solid 497.
3 @ 5000 RPM / 572.
6 lbs.
ft torque @ 4000 RPM.
Other parts used as follows:
Performance RPM Intake, Holley 3310-12 750 cfm GM Performance.
HEI, 8mm Moroso wires, Hedman HTC headers.
Cooling handled by a Be Cool Aluminum cross flow radiator with a 15-inch electric fan.
A M-21 Muncie 4 speed was completely gone through.
It was tuned by a Center Force Street Pro competition clutch.

5-inch exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers was added.
The body work and paint were handled by a local GM restoration professional.
The factor code FF Marina Blue paint was used in a base coat clear coat.
The body received new body mounts and sound proofing.
All the 1967 SS trim was installed to include new Super Sport hood and Louvers.
Most glass was replaced.
A vintage air conditioning system with controls, 134R system.
A custom auto sound was used.
The has a complete TMI Interior Kit with bright blue bucket seats, console, and a walnut MOMO 14 in polished steering wheel was added.
Bumpers were re-plated.
The wheel choice was American Racing Torq Thrust 17x8 in front, 18x10 rear.
The car has power steering, and Kumho ASX radial tires.
The car was a no-expense spared project.
It has less than 500 miles since complete.
More than $125,000 was invested in this build.
