Vehicle Description This 1968 Corvette has 76,242 actual miles (mileage not indicated on the title) and came from the factory with an L71 iron-block 427ci V8 engine outfitted with 11:
1 pistons, Holley triple 2-barrel carburetors (two R3659As and one R4055A) as well as a Winters aluminum intake manifold.
A solid-lifter camshaft was used, along with a set of closed-chamber rectangular-port heads.
The bottom was fortified with forged crankshaft and 4-bolt mains.
Backing this matching-numbers engine is an M21 4-speed manual transmission and factory-optioned posi-traction rear end.
No expense was spared on this Corvette's restoration, which was done with originality in mind.
Its original finish was removed, and the body was prepared for paint with polyester primer, block-sanded, smoothed and straightened, then sealed and painted with base coat/clear coat paint in its original LeMans Blue color.
It looks great with nice door gaps and panel fit.
The bumpers were rechromed along with windshield pillar caps.
A new date-coded front windshield was installed, along with a date-coded convertible top, carpet, dash pad, door panels and center console, five bias-ply red line tires and body weatherstripping.
