Vehicle Description In 2009, Shelby Automobiles unveiled the Shelby SR post-title package for 4.
6-liter V8-powered 2005-09 Ford Mustang GTs during the 35th Mid America Ford and Team Shelby Nationals in Tulsa, OK.
The 550hp package included serious performance upgrades and exterior styling cues.
The 50-state legal package was developed for installation at Shelby in Las Vegas or an authorized Shelby Mod Shop.
The Shelby SR pushed the performance envelope to an entirely new level.
With a 550hp Kenne Bell/Shelby supercharger, Shelby/Baer 6-piston brakes, short-throw shifter, fully adjustable Eibach suspension with coilover shocks, rear Watts link, roll cage and other race-style equipment, the SR was used for a press event in Tulsa as well as appeared in numerous media stories worldwide.
The car was extensively developed on the drag strip oval and the road course of Las Vegas Motor Speedway at the hands of race-winning Shelby test drivers.
This Shelby SR package also includes a Borla dual exhaust, a one-piece aluminum driveshaft, front brake ducts, struts, pro sway bars, bump steer kit, new lower control arm bushings, caster/camber plates, 3.
73 rear gears, Shelby functional deep draw hood, with hood pins, Shelby grille with letters, engine dress-up kit, Shelby SR graphics package, Shelby gauge pod, chin spoiler, Shelby front and rear fascia, performance clutch, sequential taillights and quarter-window covers.
